low style or high class?

Earlier insulted by

tinkering piano tuner

who mumbled something

about cheaper instruments’

mediocre sound quality,

the small piano swells

with dissonant rage

when unaware student

pounds out Bieber hit

instead of fingering

classical masterpiece.

In elegant contrast,

the gracious silver

coffeepot keeps her

serene composure,

never spilling hot

drop when filling

embarassingly silly

souvenir shop mug

sporting older couple

on beach with words,

“Iowa is for Lovers”.

Poor piano! I really felt for it here, first having to be insulted by the tuner and then the student! Thanks, Lynn. K.

I think the piano should be a little more open.. Too much Fur Elise can be quite destructive too.

What fun….just wondering if some ‘Bieber hits’ of today may someday become classical masterpieces! And, “Iowa is for Lovers” makes me smile….as I always had heard “Virginia is for Lovers” for some odd reason!
