reflection on mother’s day

mother,
dear mirror
who shows me
who i am…loved,
worthy to be loved,
learning how to trust
others in wide world;
first centered on you,
it’s expanded through
your wise instruction,
inspiration, induction.
now i in turn nurture
love as reflection
** of you **

A quadrille linked to dVerse poetics with Merril today.

    Such a lovely tribute, Lynn! I also love the mirror shape. I always struggle with shape poetry.

    I love your mirror shaped poem Lynn, and the lines, full of that loving parental influence. The living mirror.

    I forgot that the US has a different Mother’s Day to the UK! A lovely mirror quadrille written for your mother, Lynn! I like the shape!
