A WONDERFUL ekphrastic poem for the photo! You’ve captured the essence of living in this photo. When we were first married, we lived in a small rural town in Iowa….way out in the countryside. I learned so much from the parents of the kids I taught in the high school there (32 in a graduating class!). Your words here remind me of those days.
