twisted sisters

Bathers” by Picasso, 1918

***

Three sunbathing sisters from Spain

grew tired of rain on the plain;

trio traveled to beach

but feared dark hair would bleach

so learned yoga to ease mental pain.

    I love that you called them ‘twisted sisters’, Lynn, and the ekphrastic limerick worked well, as did the ‘rain on the plain’ reference.

    Love the playful rhythm here, Lynn! That twist on “the rain in Spain” made me grin.

    Much love,
