Love the shape your poem, creating a visual representation of the palindrome. Regarding the subject….it is his/her life and only God’s to judge. I would be ashamed to work for the media these days.

Excellent use of the form and I like the gentle way you handled the subject matter. ” There, but for the grace of God, go I”

Love how the shape fits the form.

I agree with everyone else – excellent example of palindrome, nice that it’s a shape poem too, and good on you for expressing your views so eloquently and gently … even while I too refuse to judge others for such choices, but rather support them. I am only thankful never to have experienced the profound sense of disorientation which must underlie such drastic measures. I think it is fair to note that your poem, while expounding a particular view, does not strike me as judgmental but compassionate towards the person(s) concerned.

Thank you…Jesus is compassionate and i desire to be.

Your poem is amazingly done… and whether or not the subject is controversial it is your thoughts on it. While I will not judge anyone as no sin is greater than another, I do have my thoughts also; that the more this is in the media spotlight, it can confuse younger people that are ‘searching for self’…. and wondering if this is their path to travel also… or are they simply confused at they move from child or teen to adult as most of us were….
