Now this l like a lot. I’m new to Tanka Poems in that I’m just learning to understand what it is but what I’ve read so far I like very much. Can you share the name of a famous person who wrote a Tanka Poem, my favourites writers/poets are Rumi & Maya Angelou

A lot of the Japanese haiku poets also wrote tanka. I was introduced to tanka by Chevrefeuille, a Dutch poet, at his website, Carpe Diem Haiku Kai. His mentor was Jane Reichhold.
