ethical questions

how long believe
blind rhetoric?

why hire doctors
to do harm?

instrumental rape
violates mother with child

what kind of ghastly
choice is offered?

by salt poisoning, chemicals,
or crunch of infant skull

when will men honor
mothers’ calling?

where have hope’s
children gone?

Linking with dVerse Poets quadrille prompt…sorry this topic is neither pleasant nor Christmasy. Yet our brokenness and sin is why Christ came…as an infant to a poor, young woman in seemingly scandalous circumstances. Would we have aborted Jesus?

One would rather take it that the prophets were accorded special considerations not enjoyed by ordinary beings. Mary was unmarried but still there was no stigma of the fact!

I hope you don’t mind saying that I disagree… abortion made early is not as you describe it… but I respect your views.

Such strong imagery here. “crunch of infant skull” actually made me suck in my breath for a moment – which, if you ask me, is as it should be. Well done.
