life’s poem logs distance trip;
soulful body-travel thru time
like one-way passage by ship
on waves of rhythm ‘n rhyme.
when reeling lost, lone, afraid
in ocean breakers’ angry roar,
trust good Captain who stayed
on watch to steer us to shore!
