Inspired by photography of Brooke Shaden at: http://brookeshaden.com/gallery/
shiny power from
imagination’s station
bursts into dusty room
of beautifully tired mind;
ideas full-throttle steaming,
bells clang, lantern gleaming,
an archetypical locomotive
that sweeps any confusion
off flexing steel rails onto
sooty hardwood flooring;
while graceful barefoot
thoughts pose, entranced
by marvelous miniature
revelation which may
inspire fresh energy
for creativity; black
and white contrast
needs fleshing out,
expressed in muscular
tones of new dance steps,
art’s arabesque.

Cool to marry the ballerina with the locomotive and consider the inspiration behind both…extraordinary!

What a cautionary tale – make sure dreaming doesn’t get in the way of achieving!

She is graceful barefoot, true, and a very graceful poem, and inspiring poem.

Interesting use of the locomotive as metaphor for inspiration. And a very creative interpretation of the image from power of the engine to dancer’s grace of the woman..

while graceful barefoot
thoughts pose…makes for an interesting wrap…
i think at times we need those things that will burst in/slip in and surprise us…
they keep the magic in the world a bit….

I think we all need these inspired surprises entering our closed rooms with bells and whistles…

wouldn’t it def. cause a burst of inspiration if our familiar walls are suddenly broke and the unexpected comes in… and i too hope that she takes the opportunity to try new dance steps

Anything that brings fresh imagery for creativity is worth while indeed…especially if it inspires some new dance steps. Smiles!
