remembering 9-11-01

Linking with dVerse poets as we dialogue…

“We have a choice whether to implode and disintegrate emotionally and spiritually…or (to) become stronger.” – Rev. Billy Graham

honey, i think you better turn on the news

“A second plane has crashed into the world trade center…”

dear God, is this a bad dream or the end of the world?

“Run, the tower’s coming down!”

oh, no; all the firefighters are in there

“American Airlines Flight 77 has just slammed into the Pentagon”

save yourself or save another?

“God help me. Jesus help me. Are you ready? Let’s roll!” *

Another plane dropped from the sky in rural Pennsylvania

“Tomorrow New York is going to be here and we’re going to rebuild.” **

united we must stand.

“Terrorist attacks can shake the foundations of our biggest buildings, but they cannot touch the foundation of America.” – Pres. George W. Bush

*Todd Beamer, upon dropping call to his wife from Flight 93.
**Mayor Rudolph Giuliani, following the 911 attack in NYC.

Great post Lynn… Our true foundation was built on GOD. Nothing can shake, implode, or otherwise destroy that rock solid foundation.

A good poem of remembrance. We need to keep these things in mind each year, must never forget!

The more we talk and write about it the more catharsis it can provide. Nicely done Lynn.

    Well.. my sister Lynn
here we are at the end..
    again.. it’s 911.. it’s an emergency yes..
but it’s good news.. i JUST write 66 thousand
words this week.. and i’ve come to an epiphany
of sorts.. more or less before as well.. and that
    is Heaven is
    Now.. but
    we must
    continue
    to build
    it.. so
    ‘HE’ WiLL STAY..:)

An event that changed the world. Most tragic. Reminders are necessary from time to time.

I recall that time… it was surreal like a movie ~ I hope we don’t experience the same tragedy again ~ I like the remembrance to Sept. 11 Lynn ~

So glad you chose to remind us of the awful day–I still feel the horror of it and, quite frankly, am holding my breath that we don’t have another event like Bengazi.
