poetry manifesto…or not

memory of menopausal aunt road raging

at unaware defenseless drivers

holy guacamole!  eager tongue reaching

to taste zestfully smooth inspiration

aghastly entangled gordian knot yielding

only to sharpened double-edged entendre

first thoughts bright butterfly winging

free ’til inner editor second-guesses.net

crystalline flute trio recital melting

winter slushy to wild refreshing rivulets

jealously tuxedoed orcas screaming

bloody murder at deaf penguins

hysterical moment when ulysses s. granting

amused moose mousse “pre-approval”

…in chocolate denim with shot of espresso, of course.

maybe a little too much “expresso” today…i’m a poet in the larval stage,

misfitting any specific movement, and ambivalent about a manifesto…

i simply write because i’m compelled to by an inner creative urge!

Even if we are at a larval stage – there is so much more to writing than we know or like to believe. Loves your humor and randomness that you blend in here.

Writing because you feel you have to, because you are driven, is surely the best reason…..!

I think words are your playthings, and this is a good group to be in for that.

Great piece! I, too, don’t belong in any style and would also call myself a fledgling poet, but it’s a grand ride, ain’t it?

Obviously the shop that rents Orca tuxedos would be much more expensive that the tiny place that deals with penguin tuxes. The fun you had with the prompt is infectious, thanks.

Wow – clever, amusing, smart, adventurous and exciting. If you’re just starting, I can’t wait to see how you develop. Very fine piece. Thank you so much for linking.
