if i could write

the story

of us,

i’d wake up

to you next to me

every morning

and watch

you breathe

regular

and gently

trace the edge

of your angular

shoulder blade

and feel your

warmth

even before

we sleepily

embrace,

entangled…

A lovely sensual romantic piece, Lynn. I looked at that image myself, but could not come up with a poetic hook. Your poem is pitch perfect. If he were to frame that image/sketch, your poem would make the perfect artistic companion.

I really like this sketch too, Lynn, and am glad you chose it. Only one other poet did. I like the sense of intimacy we feel in your words in a very subtle way. You conjured up a beautiful moment.
