in June, the bridal month,
five wise-in-their-own-eyes
justices rule supreme injustice;
deny reality’s own design,
declare bride is unnecessary
to have a wedding — absurd
as the emperor’s new clothes.
our founding fathers gave their
best to balance the powers that be.
We-the-people lament loud over
the proud actions of judges
who bring the gavel down
on a rainbow bully pulpit;
over-ruling states’ rights,
the Constitution, even
basic common sense.
Does anyone see the
naked shame of tyranny?
Justice Alito, in dissenting opinion, observed that “even enthusiastic supporters of same-sex marriage should worry about the scope of the power that today’s majority claims. Today’s decision shows that decades of attempts to restrain this Court’s abuse of authority have failed… All Americans,” he concludes, “should worry about what the majority’s claim of power portends.”

I fail to understand why you mention tyranny. I fail to see how giving people who are committed to each other the same rights as you have threatens your own rights or diminishes what you have.

The Court found nothing in the Constitution to support so-called gay “marriage”, 5 judges legislated from the bench by overturning marriage laws passed in 31 states, and now there are news stories of good people having their freedom of speech and freedom of religion threatened.

Thank you for saying this–I’m just flabbergasted, don’t know what to think. But then, that’s my frequent reaction when I get any small bits of news–if I have to hear any more about the new Jenner look, I may just pass out. I want to be respectful of people, really I do–but one has to wonder what is going on in their heads. How blind can you be and just keep walking? Eventually you must surely fall into a pothole, or sink hole–or brick wall.

Same-sex marriage has nothing to do with being transgender.

Yes, I see… Diane
