grateful

Dedicated to my “sister” friend, Joyce, who recently let go of her mother’s hands…

strong women’s hands

shape my life and yours:

grandmas instill faith

aunts stitch laughter

sister friends en-courage

mothers mold hearts.

even if we can no longer

touch those dear hands,

we still hear the voices

of influence cheering us

on like birdsong

in a garden of grace.

Beautiful. I love that birdsong in a garden of grace.

Oh, those last two lines are so moving….that is exactly what it’s like, to have those voices of influence continue to ‘be there’ for us even years after they are gone!

I love this and it’s refreshing to see that, Faith is one of your words. Amen

Beautiful! This brought tears to my eyes. It reminded me of my sister Peggy saying to me, “It’s okay, Sweetie.” Thanks for the reminder of the important women in my life and sharing about the important ones in yours. Peace, Linda

The last two lines brought tears. Indeed, those precious women who have nurtured, loved, supported us…..I am who am because of these women.
