hope wears white

CDHK weekend fusion challenge: fuse two haiku, then create troiku…

temple bells die out
the fragrant blossoms remain
a perfect evening

will we meet again
here at your flowering grave –
two white butterflies

church bell’s somber ring
ask for whom is it tolling?
time waits for no one

fragrance of casket flowers
roses, daisies, carnations
florals dress-up death

butterflies wing hope
loved by two mothers, i know
we will meet again

for love of mums

Linking to Carpe Diem Tanka Splendor prompt:  Chrysanthemums

summertime wedding

promise of faithful love

lattice arch and fence

baskets of chrysanthemums

gift to bride and groom’s mothers

grateful

Dedicated to my “sister” friend, Joyce, who recently let go of her mother’s hands…

strong women’s hands

shape my life and yours:

grandmas instill faith

aunts stitch laughter

sister friends en-courage

mothers mold hearts.

even if we can no longer

touch those dear hands,

we still hear the voices

of influence cheering us

on like birdsong

in a garden of grace.
