There is a tinge of sadness in this, as there is in seeing any animal not allowed to be in its native environment. On the other hand, the joy that bird song brings can be so important to a lonely person. I think of my mother who, after my dad died, got a bird. Until her dementia progressed it kept her involves and responsible. She was so in love with that little critter, and he returns the favor. Your haiku says a lot.
