savour the journey

each of us

chooses our own

pace on this

journey of life

some people rush by in a frantic hurry to get ahead of the rest

the poets

among

us,

start and stop,

pausing

to

admire

the weed that

blooms

in the

sidewalk

crevice.

Grace interviews one of dVerse Poets  founders, Brian Miller, and offers quadrille prompt on word, “journey”.

True! This life is not a race…except maybe against ourselves. 😉

Oh Lynn, you’ve nailed it. I’ve actually written a poem about a forget-me-not growing out of a sidewalk crack! Hooray for poets.

It’s great that you celebrate an acceptance of everyone’s journey but also praise those who can see the good in the flowering weed in the crevice!

Yes, we’re the ones that stop to look at that brave weed that pops through the crevice with our own take on it. Excellent quadrille, excellent look at life. Well done.

Indeed, we must pause… love how you worked with linebreaks to make it clear.

And we should pause….because poetry is born from these pauses!

Love the reminder – to savor every bit of life, including that weed.

Thanks for joining us Lynn and wishing you a good week.

Yes, poets pause to admire life itself.
