elusive dream

I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.”   – Martin Luther King, Jr.

What happened
to distinctly american
dream

of liberty & justice IMG_4629
for ALL,

equal opportunity
regardless
of race?

What happened
to respect
for human life,

our constitutional
law & order,

non-violent freedom of
speech & assembly?

What happened
to ONE nation

under God?

Wake to dream again!

It’s most painful when dreams are shattered or in question. A heartfelt poem.
