say “i do” again

Here’s a quadrille for dVerse Poets and Bjorn’s “bliss”ful prompt… it’s supposed to be heart-shaped but looks more like a carrot!

anniversary weekend

sunshine follows rainstorms

bike paths through tunneled shade

relax to rediscover love’s secrets

playful conversation answers

companionable silence, sit

touching, fingers entwine

between sips of wine

live band remembers

soul sways to tunes

breathe and listen

heartbeats in

syncopation

of wedded

bliss

Married to my wife Margaret since 1962. A commitment to a commandment. Love in action.

ha ha… it does resemble a carrot more – but the sentiments are heart felt 🙂

Hearty congrats again to you and your hubby! Be it a carrot or a diamond, it’s my favourite from you. “Companionable silence” speaks volume: I miss that most now that we have in our house two little monkeys and a newborn — and subsequently their incessant clamour. Oh, well…
