Although it wasn’t a tropical island, I have just returned from Venice, a city that inspires poetical verse, which is why I enjoyed your haiku so much – It was very cold so I drank lots of hot chocolate and our hotel was in a small garden! Well done for keeping up a quite tricky rhyme, Lynn.
