blessings (to the fourth degree)

a precious girl gifted by God above

another sister multiplies the love

her name is biblical, Anna Noel

a coo that’s softer, sweeter than a dove

her liquid eyes deeper than sky of blue

she follows and reflects emotions true

with roundly curving cheeks and hair so fair

dear granddaughter, we’re all in love with you!

A rubaiyat of iambic pentameter with stanzas of 4 lines, rhyme scheme: AABA, and linked to dVerse Poets where Frank is hosting tonight. logo-napowrimo

Aww, how endearing. And I got to touch and smell my own sweet newborn daughter’s soft head while reading this. You are so blessed.
