wary of winks

was that an itch
or political twitch?

it was deliberate wink, i think
first, they get our vote; then play turn coat

offer girl drugged drinks, prey with flirty hi-jinks

mark cards to win, gamble with sin
sly one-eyed blink… all cheaters stink!

Linking to dVerse with 44-word “wink” quadrille…

Hi Lynn! I enjoyed reading your poem here, it was well written… no, I can’t abide dishonesty either, and there is enough to go around at the moment… 😐

This is fantastic Lynn! It would be so nice if the truth became the political platform!

Cheaters, cheaters, and then there are cheetahs, who we hope tell the truth. Good one, Lynn.

Yes, beware–they do stink! I’m just worried that some people can’t smell it, or don’t care.

All cheaters do indeed stink. And from what I can tell, almost all politicians, as well.

Cheating and fooling around gets my ire. Hope it is not another round again.

We are always cheated one way or another… but maybe we want to be fooled too.
