sudden dread

carrion crow’s flight

wings chop air with whirring sound

caw cacophony

swoop down to murder

sharp beaks jab at feast and mates

fight over road kill

I added a second haiku to join dVerse poets as we revisit “imagism”; MTB (meeting the bar) challenge hosted by Frank J. Tassone…check it out!

In flight or when still, crows seem packed with motion. You capture that well.

You’ve really captured the other, less pleasant, side of crows, Lynn, their ‘caw cacophony’ and roadkill frenzy.

Great imagery with lots of movements in images to make it so realistic, Lynn!

A murder of crows…. this is the uglier side to the intelligent bird.

“Caw cacophany” is the perfect phrase.
