legacy

I’ve given my body

to my children as

a living inheritance

of primal sustenance

vital to ensure their

childhood survival;

for life education and

milestone celebration.

A woman’s body

amazes, astounds

envelopes, nurtures,

stretches elastic

grows softly round

with love surrounds

heartbeat pounds.

They left their marks

indelible, incredible

creases, sags, bags

every gray hair is

strand of costly

(and mostly, yes)

sweet memories

rooted in the heart.

Lynn, a wonderful acknowledgement of the wonder of your body and the service it has offered to your loved ones.

I have twins – if only the elasticity worked for shrinking back into shape… 😀

Our bodies do reflect our children and every single moment we have lived. I like that you’ve made it a celebration. (K)

I love this line: a living inheritance.

And all the marks, sags and bags – a milestone celebration of a good and long life, I say.
