Lynn, I love the ornament. Unless we understand the meaning of the cross there can’t be any love coming from it. I peeked in from Karin’s neat drawings and her discussion and rationale for depression. I am glad I heard her descriptions.

Love is strange and mysterious. I am reminded of Frederick Buechner’s wonderful writing, two quotes in particular. “When someone we love suffers, we suffer with that person, and we would not have it otherwise, because the suffering and the love are one, just as it is with God’s love for us.” and “Of all powers, love is the most powerful and the most powerless. It is the most powerful because it alone can conquer that final and most impregnable stronghold that is the human heart. It is the most powerless because it can do nothing except by consent.”
