aftershocks

A quadrille (44-word poem) using word, “bone”. Linked to dVerse poets.

leftover easter ham
bone boils for bean
soup; missing stone

ponder holy day past

woman in blind grief
chosen as eye witness to
her resurrected rabboni

he walks garden alone
when angel rolls rock away
so disciples could view

no body in empty grave!

So moving, Lynn, as you transition in thought from the ordinary to the miraculous.

Excellent reflection, lynn. I can’t even imagine the surprise, mourning, and joy on that first Easter.

Your second line is fun to say aloud. Nice going from the ham to the real meaning of Easter.
