prayer is not a grocery list
or a letter to santa claus
it’s not a chore to check off
or an assignment to turn in.
prayer is neither bragging
nor demanding; neither
posturing nor performing;
but may involve wrestling.
prayer is love relationship;
listening and responding as
we quiet our heart to hear his,
he breathes life into us again.

well penned, great use of the ‘form’. i think it’s really necessary to speak of what it isn’t, as so many don’t seem to understand what it is, and what it is for. every moment can be a prayer

Praying is too often a performance for me… true prayers are probably done in solitude.
Aug 07, 2026 @ 14:29:11
Solitude is best…and we find we are not alone.

Jesus was never too busy to pray. We should adopt the same attitude. Prayer can involve wrestling…most definitely.😇
