the perfect ten

Why not follow these wise instructions from the “owner’s manual”?

I AM the Lord your God who set you free
Why then make idols of created things?
My name is holy, give honor to me
Enjoy a day of rest, my praises sing
Respect your parents, it will long life bring
You should not hate or take a person’s life
Bed only one who wears your wedding ring
To take someone’s possessions is not right
Speak truth so all can trust your honesty
And be content, your blessings come from me.

The decasyllabic decastitch (10 lines of 10 syllables each) poetry form has been ascribed to Sheeley A. Cephas and named ‘the Decuain’ (pronounced duck•won). It is written in iambic pentameter with rhyme scheme (ababbcbcaa). Just follow the rules 🙂 Linking with Laura and dVerse Poets.
