The moon shines bright
upon this night
such pretty sight
for us to peep.
The full moon’s light
makes clouds take flight
outshines starlight
comfort we keep.
The moon’s far height
angels’ nightlight
please do not fight
just go to sleep!

I especially like the last stanza. It would be the perfect response to the child in the poem I posted!

Lovely – and then the slightly unexpected, fun ending. π

A parents desparate cry for sleep at the end… and I guess the natural answer from the child would be… please read it jus once again π

Oh this is sweet…yes I agree the only ending is one that says just go to sleep…wouldn’t it be magic if it would happen that way! π

to get them to sleep….smiles.
