“Don’t sweat
the small stuff”
they say, yet
it’s often those
little, irritating
things that He
uses to humble,
chisel, reveal our
character…like
the blunt reply of
a stranger’s child or
more dirty laundry;
broken machines and
livestock that trespass;
our own quirky habits
(surely our spouse’s)
and the constant flies
that buzz, bite, bug;
those small details
we must sweat through,
our daily life struggle.

Thanks for visiting my blog and commenting, Lynn. It’s true, that small stuff can sometimes define your day. I mean, one step into dog poop and my afternoon is SHOT! I understand the meaning behind “Don’t sweat the small stuff,” but really, it’s simply human nature to swat the flies. Peace, Amy
