color me clear claret to drink deep abiding joy
wash me free cerulean to keep fresh vision of purpose
paint me wild violaceous to sense passionate wonder
spray me glowing fuchsia to energize with enthusiasm
shade me warm goldenrod to exude grateful hope
draw me wheaten whey to nurture spirit of others
dye me gently ibis to find beauty in quietness
tint me steely silver to gather strength with age

In response to Abhra Pal’s first (and colorful) poetic prompt on d’Verse…
made me think of Paul Simon’s ’70s song, Kodachrome 🙂

I love that song and your take on it is so vibrant! We all could use a little more of those elixirs. Thanks! k.

Wow, just wow! I loved what you did with colors. Coloring oneself different colors to bring out different facets. I agree with the ‘steely silver.’ To that I say AMEN.

we all wish to be seen and loved for exactly who we are; which makes our shine even brighter… great write

oh nice… that is polychromatic indeed… each color gives a different hue and stands for another shade of emotion… think i’m in need for warm goldenrod right now…smiles
