You never cease to amaze me with the flow of your poems… not sure I’ve explained it well, but I hope so… Diane

    “flavor-ful families
    diverse by design….”
    I like your references to
    “rainbow of one
    human race”
but hope we’ll also be at peace
    with the uniqueness of
    different races in the future.

You know what, I really like this piece & the notion of adoption. I have 3 siblings, & 1 adopted brother who is now in his 4th grade. My parents adopted him when he was just an infant. At first, I was totally against it for some reasons but eventually learned to love the idea of having another brother from a different mother. He is such a joy to us, watching him grow every single day & learn. Thanks for the poem, Lynn!

    Ah.. yes
    foolish selfish genes
    is illusion.. drawn by some..
but the core of our differences
are only separated by one point
    of sameness in beginning and
end.. oh.. to adopt nature as
oneself.. is to know and feel
delight.. that nature is a race
we are all in together as ONE..:)
