or imprisoned.
family needs stability, child lacks security
boy without manly model,
abandoned heart.
educational system poor fit,
disillusioned mind.
socialization by bullies,
tormented soul.
when slow burning anger eventually flares into violent rage,
why are we surprised?

Oh, I do think people can be evil … it’s all about choice. Punishment is necessary when people DO evil things. most people are just selfish – it’s that constant battle to live for others, to lie virtue not vice. I think it is really a reflection of society… ?

Yes, I agree…we are naturally selfish, often make bad choices, and are capable of doing very evil things.

We shouldn’t be surprised at all. The only way to stop these acts of violence is prevention ….oh and gun laws would help! We have the same issues with mental illness here, but they very rarely lead to a horrific event.

Branding people as evil is not helpful but we are responsible for our deeds. I think there are warning signs before violence happens.
