his & her harleys

teen-age male on

in search of new

dreams of motorcycle;

engine roar combines

with speed’s blur…

wind-in-face freedom.

middle-age parents

experience concern,

envision fragile-ness

of life-and-limb;

postpone possibility

until son leaves family nest…

Forty-four word quadrille for “cycle” prompt at dVerse Poets this week…

    There is that period of any man’s life when he believes he’s immortal… most of them learn to take care.

    Nice lines: “engine roar combines

    with speed’s blur…

    wind-in-face freedom” The roar of an engine and speed bringing wind to one’s face are good descriptions of some views of freedom.

    Those young males are always searching for new thrills on wheels ~ I can understand the parents fear for life and limb ~
