summer solstice

Rhyming couplets with Frank at dVerse

notice yesterday’s date marked june twenty-one

means every day now we’ll see less of the sun

calendar says it was first day of summer

heat and humidity might be a bummer

we’ve had plenty of rain, thick clouds hide the sun

a hot sunny day watching ball sounds like fun!

Amazingly it sounds like many of us have had rain after the solstice. I want to sing: here comes the sun! 🙂

We had some rain but mostly it’s holding up… quite cool though… as you can expect from a Nordic country

It has been raining here as well for the past few days. It is cooler than the heat we had before. Nice sound to your couplets!
