jet setter

the Common Swift is

uncommonly swift &

flies at amazing speeds

higher than high in

azure atmosphere

nary a nap ever needs

from Scandinavia to

to the sub-Sahara,

migrating as it feeds

stays in the air

with nary a care

pausing only to breed.

They are amazing birds… I have to find a place for them this summer.

Yup; Good stuff! Rhyming the end word of each tercet really makes this flow. Well done.

Excellent! Rhyme, meter, and education – three of my favorite things,

I’m really interested in how this prompt drew so many people (including me) to write in rhyme. I think it’s the inspiration of the swift’s freedom. Great quadrille!

I love the lyricism and rhythm of this, Lynn.
