My response to the Sunday time challenge at Carpe Diem Haiku Kai.  Landlocked in Iowa, I’m glad we never experience hurricanes directly…we have tornadoes!

We live in central Texas. We have experienced high winds and torrential rains as the remnants of a couple of hurricanes drifted inland. In Southwest Missouri, we dodged tornadoes. I think I prefer gentle rains followed by blue, sunny skys.
