velvet blooms blood rose
subtle scent wafts nose
folds of ruffled rows
vivid color grows
thorns prick of sorrows
wilted tomorrows

hovering in garden patch

                                                 butterfly trio

white petals flirt

                                  passing wings

                                                        dainty cabbage pests

My haiku flits like little butterfly to Carpe Diem Haiku Kai‘s garden of cabbages…

forte spalla

first violinist

confidence dressed in black gown

tunes the orchestra

beauty of music’s notes rise…

to fall like scented petals.

(haiku prompt from Carpe Diem Haiku Kai on Trans-Siberian railway)
