These are so beautiful and yes, they are haiku. What lovely tributes to your friend. You nailed all the aspects of haiku to put it technically. But to say more, these brought tears to my eyes. So much in them of sorrow, She sounds like a wonderful person – smiles warm as salsa – I so like the feelings and image this portrays. Now I can’t stop my tears….dang. But truly perfection.
