deep waters

lagoon in my memories
fills dormant volcano crater;
nicaraguan vendors encircle
tourists as mountains surround
deep blue pocket of aquatic life.

lagoon of my memories
fills crevices of heart and mind;
as faces from childhood encircle
present experience, surrounding
deeply personal perspective on life.

    You remind me that each of us and the other 10,000 things are a unique convergence of atoms and experiences. I like how you used the prompt word.

    The lagoon as a metaphor for the reshaping pool of memories is very apt.

    I love how you relate the idea of “deep waters” of memories “surrounding
    deeply personal perspective on life” in terms of a lagoon. Lovely quadrille, Lynn.

    I love how so many people wrote about memories rustled up by lagoon. A lagoon in a volcano crater in Nicaragua sounds like an amazing sight to see.
