Linking to Carpe Diem Haiku Kai in the month of love…
be my valentine
red roses, dark chocolates
bake a heart-shaped cake
mama and i shared birthday
brief time to celebrate love
❤ ❤ ❤
If someone gives you their heart, you can’t give it back without breaking it.
❤ ❤ ❤
heart broken open…
perhaps that lets the love out
to spill on others?

My haiku/senryu/troiku written for Carpe Diem Haiku Kai challenge…
hot pink peonies
sweet gift from my grand daughters
picked fresh this morning
hot pink peonies
bloom on daughter-in-love’s bush
color of summer
gift from grand daughters
to surprise beloved grandma
sweet smiles are enough
picked fresh this morning
fragrant blush on lips, cheeks
happiness in bloom

Link to Carpe Diem Haiku Kai where host, Chevrefeuille, invites us to “improve” on a classic haiku; re-write and make it look better (like a photo-shopped image).
autumn has come
visiting my ear on
a pillow of wind

autumn rustles in
whispering wind tickles ears
fluffs leafy pillow
