spring sevenling

A window view with dVerse poets….

i rake dead leaves
pick up fallen sticks
fill birdbath to brim

seven sparrows
fritter in chirpy circle
twitter reflectively on rim

lazy gaze out window sees spring days peep in

my dust bunny’s bigger

The day you tell your vacuum to “suck it up” but bag’s full to bursting.

An “american sentence” of 17 syllables.  Here’s to a clean new year!

sevenling (fantasy)

if dust were diamonds,

asphalt was gold, and

trees’ leaves paper money,

we’d sneeze on greed

drive over wealth, con~

sider banks quite funny!

fantastical, our discontent would blow away with wind~

Linking to dVerse Poetics with Lillian on “fantasy” theme…

Sevenling (rainbow recipe)

Having fun with a new poetic form, sevenling, introduced by De at dVerse!

rainbow recipe begins with basic

ingredients of primary colors:

real red, mellow yellow, too blue.

measure equal parts;  blend with

fresh rainwater until secondary hues

appear: ore orange, preen green, riot violet.
