mucky floodwater

rain brings too much of good thing

overwhelming force

strikes levees, homes, bridges, schools

volunteers come, help clean up

before the greening


canada geese back
welcome migrants from the north
spring comes with the wind

soon build nest on their island
papa goose protects new brood
