quiet time

morning tea with God

prayerful conversation

listen to the Word

vital act of devotion

Spirit speaks into my life

Linking to Carpe Diem Haiku Kai‘s final post for month of pilgrimage…”an act of devotion”

written in wee hours of a restless night

we live sad

(a)pathetic lives of

(un)quiet desperation in

rage, regrets, disappointment

isolated in an individual world, we

desire to be loved but do not know how;

bravely smiling on outside, slowly dying inside

how are you? ‘i’m fine’ is our standard line (really?)

looks like we, our family, civilization may self-destruct

only a hero can save us now — our hope is that God will!

__________

“For thus said the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel, ‘In returning and rest you shall be saved; in quietness and trust shall be your strength.’ But you were unwilling…Therefore the Lord waits to be gracious to you, and therefore he exalts himself to show mercy to you. For the Lord is a God of justice; blessed are all those who wait for him. ¬†

– Isaiah 30:15 & 18
