may day
winter has
a hay day
weather is
a melee
tulips in dis-

robins go
cra cra
dare to
stay, say

May day

Exploring new (old) form of poetry, the ghazal, at Carpe Diem Haiku Kai
symbol of peace whose spirit we know
surprised by shadow, white dove in snow
swift owl or coyote’s bloody salvo
moonlight reveals white dove, still, in snow
on pilgrim road, choose which way to go
follow the sun or white dove in snow
cemetery where winter winds blow
watchman on headstone, white dove in snow
soft, lynn, pure sign of his love to show
alights branch above, white dove in snow

Treebeard from wikipedia
Rumbling winter storm –
Ents are dancing with their wives –
ancient limbs entwined

in triolet Tags: city, claim, crow, murder, snow
“I now claim this city as mine,” triumphs Snow,
chilling stones of old buildings and streets.
“All seasons belong to me,” caws the Crow.
“I’ve staked claim to this city as mine,” warns Snow.
“My brothers and I’ll push you out!” threatens Crow,
from dead tree where plotting crows’ murder meets.
“I will leave this city behind,” murmurs Snow,
dying pack on stone buildings and streets.

NOTES:
A fable fit loosely in triolet form... and loosely fits Anna's "diction"
prompt at d'Verse poetics.
I like the "sound" of Caesar's Latin for the title and find"murder" of crows intriguing.
Also incorporated "brothers" idea from earlier prompt.
